When you work with Home Stagers Cape Town, this is the process:
STEP 1: Get to know each other
We start with a couple of WhatsApp and Zoom calls to get to know each other. Trust is everything when you’re decorating someone else’s home with their money, so it’s good for us to see each other’s faces and get a feel for each other.
STEP 2: Discuss ideas and budget
After discussing your decorating ideas and your ideal budget, we put together an inspiration design power point for you. This has images showing the lifestyle you want for your property. You might like steel and leather; or you may prefer woods and more organic materials.
Prefer a hands-off approach? We’ll use our expertise in the Cape Town vacation rental market to design a space that draws in the most guests.
STEP 3: Selecting pieces
We provide a detailed breakdown of every item that will be used to furnish your vacation rental and how much each item actually costs. This level of transparency ensures you know exactly what you’re getting, from furniture and fixtures to décor and accessories.
STEP 4: Putting it together
My team and I spend the next few weeks ordering all the items we agreed on and organising logistics. If something has sold out since we agreed on it, we’ll give you alternatives to choose from.
STEP 5: D-Day
Finally, everything arrives on an agreed date. My team is on site to receive, quality check everything and troubleshoot. We unpack everything and place all the items, hang pictures, style the beds, style the tables, unpack the kitchen and style it, put towels in the bathroom… Everything so you’re ready to receive your first guests at your newly furnished airbnb in Cape Town.
Decorating from abroad is a relatively intense process for you in the beginning, but once the concept is clear and the decisions are made, it’s really very do-able.
