Decide what’s leaving with you after you sell and what isn’t. It’s easier to pack later if you’ve started thinning things out now. Bonus: decluttering makes your home look bigger.

3. Colour: Keep it simple

A mishmash of colours can distract buyers. Stick to one or two tones throughout the house. It’ll make your home look pulled together and calm.

4. Make sure buyers feel at home

No, we’re not suggesting brewing coffee or baking cookies. Instead, think about adding mirrors to brighten spaces, clearing counters, or swapping personal photos for neutral artwork. These little touches help buyers see themselves living there.
