The seller had heard about the power of home staging and so was determined to stage. My kind of seller! She painted and revamped the small garden, which makes a huge difference. I was lying on the beach when I got the best kind of message: Thanks to your wonderful staging, we've got a second offer already and it's much more than we expected!

These sellers live in the USA where home staging is well known. They painted, got the carpets cleaned and I helped a bit with the garden and voila! The agent and seller were thrilled with the speed and price achieved.

Another fabulous agent I often work with, Mary Davidson from Pam Golding Properties, brought me in to stage after the tenants left. It turned out brilliantly for everyone. The first person to see it online hurried over and bought it on the spot.

This sweet house was on the market for two years on and off, with no movement.

We staged on the Monday and it was sold by the weekend.

The owner lives abroad and knew about home staging. This little townhouse had to beat out quite a lot of competition in Big Bay to be the one noticed and chosen. It sold before the agent had time to take photos to a buyer who happened to be considering another townhouse in this complex, and fell in the love with this one.

The seller was living in Mauritius during Covid and couldn't come to Cape Town to manage the sale of her late father's property. She was a bit sceptical of staging, but boy, did she become a believer when it went before the first show day for full asking. 

This was one of the first projects I did with this agency. We've since worked together a lot, with great results. This property went in two weeks for the full asking price.

The developer had tailor-made this house for a buyer and the sale fell through. He needed to sell or rent it quickly, which it did.

Retirement developments often have several units open at one time and need to attract suitable buyers. I staged this three-bedroom sea front apartment  as well as a studio apartment for a marketing brochure. 

This was Phase 1 of a large project and the developer needed to recoup its outlay pronto. I'm thrilled that all the units sold so fast.

An oldie with pretty features, but dated bathrooms and an almost non-existent kitchen made this a hard sell. It was on the market for two months before I staged it, and sold just before the 30 day contract was up.

This property is really pretty but buyers just couldn't see that when it was empty. After a few months with no interest, I staged it. It look classy and sexy. Within a few weeks, it received one (conditional) offer and one fabulous cash offer.

The sale of this one made me really happy. The agent called me to find out about staging but the owners declined. Almost a year and scores of viewings later, the deceased estate was still not sold. The living areas were huge and no one could imagine what to do with them. We did. The property got a good offer in the first month and after some negotiation, sold.

Sales of this development in Hermanus had reached a plateau. The apartments are small and have quite basic finishes. Our staging showed that double beds in both bedrooms are possible, and that you can even fit a decent size round dining table. The developer opted to buy the furniture from me so it can move from unit to unit.

This house turned out beautifully. It's an oldie in a slightly dodgy street, so making it irresistible was imperative. Doesn't that kitchen look inviting!

The owners wanted to emigrate and had tried selling the property over a few years. The clever agent felt that the owners' furniture and layout was not showing it off at its best, so we rejigged the design and brought in some new cushions and accessories for photos. The house had a servitude which made it tricky to sell but it attracted a lot of offers in a short space of time and the owners were able to move on with their lives.

This property has quite an industrial look and feel which was not turning buyers on. My staging focussed on making it warm and welcoming, showing the full potential of the property. The seller was delighted.

The seller only received one poor offer when the property was empty and wanted to achieve a better price. After staging, she received a great offer from the perfect family.

The seller did a fabulous renovation and knew that quality home staging would make all the difference. Although she didn't intend to rent, she got such a great offer in the first week that she happily decided to go for it.

The seller had tried to sell the property empty the previous year. There were no takers. She rented it out for a year with disastrous results. After the tenant left, I staged it. It looked beyond fabulous and was snapped up immediately.

The agent is also an interior decorator. She wanted to make sure that buyers perceived the value of the empty loft as a third bedroom, so asked me to stage just that space. It made all the difference to buyers' perception of value, and sold quickly.

This house was quite a challenge as it had been operating as a disconnected series of offices. On my advice, the seller stripped the carpets to reveal beautiful wooden floors, replaced the neon lights with period chandeliers and painted. It received an offer in the first week, which was rejected, and shortly after received a better offer. My decor played a big part in the sale, so much so that the buyer has asked me to furnish the home after transfer.
